Product Review: Murad Soothing Skin and Lip Care

As previously discussed in (POST: Product Review: Smashbox Emulsion Lip Exfoliant), my lips are a bit high-maintenance (who would have thought!?) in that they become dry at the drop of the proverbial hat. For that reason, I was recommended Murad's Soothing Skin and Lip Care (pictured below). The product is perfect for slathering on your beso-maker nightly before bedtime so that you awake with a soothed and moisturized kisser!

Last night, however, Murad's Soothing Skin and Lip Care surpassed its previous use and upped its value in my beauty arsenal. Allow me to explain: after enduring five weeks of a skincare routine heavy in Retin-A and Salicylic Acid, my dry, irritated skin had me feeling a bit sali[silly]. My face was feeling extremely dry and my skin too tight for comfort. So, of course, I switched to my beloved Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel (POST: Product Review: Peter Thomas Roth Skincare) to slow the drying and bring my skin's texture to a neutral place. Enter: Murad's Soothing Skin and Lip Care. Last night I applied a generous coat of the product on and around my lips and underneath and around my eyes - locations where the dryness was particularly worrisome because my skin felt so tight that I was afraid of stretching creating unnecessary wrinkles. After reapplying a couple of times when I happened to wake throughout the night, I got up this morning to a visible change in the texture of my skin. While still dry, the product greatly reduced the tight feeling around my mouth and eyes. With the multiple uses of Murad's Soothing Skin and Lip Care, it has definitely earned its place on my repurchase list.

Product Review: Smashbox Emulsion Lip Exfoliant

With the changing seasons and puzzling weather patterns, my lips have found themselves in a bit of a slump. My puckers have always been a bit high-maintenance-seeming, often dry thus compromising the performance of my lip products. It's now the beginning of June and I literally found myself a bit frightened by mother nature earlier; sitting in a hotel room just off Bourbon Street as the television lost signal and whipping wind rolled in from who knows where.
